Our Programmes

Child Care

We play a crucial role in supporting vulnerable children, particularly those from disadvantaged backgrounds. Our child care centres ensure children receive care, education, shelter, clothing and nutrition during their formative years.

Women Empowerment

Women empowerment helps entire families move up the socio-economic ladder. We work with women from very poor, marginalized backgrounds to build confidence, skills and sustainable livelihoods.

Youth Development

ATSWA provides employable skill trainings on retail management, market-demand based trainings and awareness on issues faced by youth, addressing unemployment in a post COVID-19 context.

Exhibiting Ability in Disability

We empower persons with disabilities through comprehensive interventions, ensuring nutritious food, dry rations, safe shelter and assistive devices such as crutches, callipers, wheelchairs and CP chairs for safe mobility.

Road Safety Awareness

Through the “Together for Safer Roads in Tamil Nadu” project supported by PSA Fondation and Habitat for Humanity India, we promote safer roads via awareness, trainings and campaigns.

Disaster Response & Risk Reduction

In 52 villages of Pazhaverkadu (Pulicat) region, we reach people affected by cyclones, heavy rainfall, fire and other disasters, combining immediate relief with long-term risk reduction.

Eco Friendly Environment

ATSWA motivates communities to create eco-friendly surroundings, addressing environmental changes, farming patterns and climate impacts for safer, healthier living spaces.

Vocational Skill Training

Our vocational centres at Redhills, Thirumullaivoyal (Tamil Nadu) and Sathyavedu (Andhra Pradesh) provide employable skill trainings to youth and adults for sustainable livelihoods.

Senior Citizens Care

We identify elders living on pavements and in vulnerable conditions, providing meals, clothing, bedding, medical care and support for admission into nearby elder care homes.

Rag Picker Communities – Tamil Nadu

For over a decade, ATSWA has been empowering rag picker communities across Tamil Nadu – from Kodungaiyur in Chennai to underserved areas in Thiruvallur, Kanchipuram, Vellore, Ranipet, Villupuram and Chengalpattu.
